YG Entertainment has detailed its plans for K-pop boyband TREASURE.In a newly released video, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk spoke about the company’s upcoming plans for the boyband, which include a new sub-unit and a full-length album.Yang opened the clip with an apology to the fans of the boyband. “I really wanted to apologise to all the fans for the situation where I couldn’t fully dedicate myself to my work after debuting TREASURE,” he said.He added that “many changes have taken place” regarding new music for TREASURE, but he wanted to personally “deliver some good news” to the boyband’s fans.Yang then goes on to state that TREASURE’s second studio album will be a “reboot” for the boyband and be “comprised of new songs only”.

K-pop boyband TREASURE was recently caught in the middle of a stage equipment malfunction, leaving him with minor burns.Yesterday (April 2), the 10-member boyband performed at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand as part of the ongoing Asia leg of their ‘Hello’ tour.As seen in photos and videos taken by fans at the concert, member Yoon Jae-hyuk had been walking over stage equipment with a fire-emitting mechanism when it malfunctioned and unexpectedly released a burst of flames.The idol quickly moved away from the equipment and made sure that his clothes were not on fire, before heading backstage to receive medical attention.Is Jaehyuk ok? TREASURE have announced plans to return with a new mini-album next month.On September 1 at midnight KST, South Korean music label YG Entertainment took to the boyband’s social media to upload a teaser poster, announcing the group’s comeback in October, as well as concerts in Seoul in November.TREASURE are set to release ‘The Second Step: Chapter Two’, their sophomore mini-album, on October 4. More details regarding the album’s tracklist and lead single are expected to be unveiled in the weeks leading up to its release.In support of this upcoming record, TREASURE also simultaneously announced a two-night residency in Seoul for the ‘2022 TREASURE Concert In Seoul’, to be held on November 12 and 13.
