Pete Doherty has shared a new health update and reflected on the “hurtful” comments people have made about him.The Libertines frontman and soloist made the comments during a new appearance on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, where he shared a new update on his health and said that he is now wearing orthopaedic shoes.It comes after the artist revealed last month that he is at risk of having his toes amputated due to his ongoing health conditions. This is because of his type 2 diabetes, which he was diagnosed with last year, and led to him claiming that he “was healthier when he was on heroin”.Last month he told fans in Munich that doctors advised him to stay off his feet “as much as he can” to avoid having any amputations.

Find all the details below.Announced today (November 4), the homecoming show is set to take place at London’s Gunnersbury Park on Saturday, 9 August 2025.The concert will see The Libertines joined by Supergrass, as well as Soft Play, Hak Baker and Lambrini Girls.

Pete Doherty and Carl Barat have designed two new Libertines-inspired jackets in collaboration with menswear brand Blue Flowers.The Mancunian clothing brand designed both new jackets – one trench coach and a bomber jacket – in close collaboration with the band members, who chose fabrics, construction and more design details.The trench jacket features Doherty’s personal artwork printed inside the lining, while Barât chose a lightweight jacket that would be comfortable to wear while performing on stage.The bomber jacket also features a special tribute to their Albion Rooms hotel in Margate.They are both now available for pre-order on the Blue Flowers website here. Libertines manager Alan McGee has recalled being “instantly stunned” by a fight between Pete Doherty and Carl Barât.The music exec recounted the row in his new book Alan McGee: How to Run an Indie Label, which occurred when he was managing the band around their self-titled 2004 album.At the time he started managing them, relations between frontmen Doherty and Barat were “very messy” due to Doherty facing charges for burgling Barât’s home in retaliation for being kicked out of the band.
