Pete Doherty has announced plans to curate a trio of UK shows next month.The Libertines man will host three nights in Manchester and London to mark the fifth anniversary of his record label Strap Originals.Over the three nights at The White Hotel (May 28) and the 100 Club in the capital (29,30) Doherty will take part in a Q&A about his life, his music and his vision for the label.A host of the label’s artists including Trampolene, Andrew Cushin, Vona Vella, Evan Williams will also perform over the three day period. Trampolene frontman Jack Jones has announced details his self-titled debut solo album, as well as sharing new single ‘Breathe’.As well as fronting Trampolene and working as a poken word poet, Jones is also a member of Pete Doherty’s band The Puta Madres. Now, he’s set to make his solo debut.According to a press release, the album will see Jones “put away his guitar” to embrace a new contemporary sound while delivering his usual “hard-hitting state of the nation poems of existential fear and loathing”.He’s also shared the Barnaby Fairley-directed video for new single ‘Breathe’, which features Jones donning astronaut gear as crowds swirl around him.

Pete Doherty has spoken to NME about the five-year anniversary of his record label Strap Originals, the return of Babyshambles and the future of The Libertines.Strap Originals is home to artists such as Trampolene, Real Farmer and Pregoblin, all of whom performed at London’s the 100 Club last Thursday (May 30) as part of a showcase tour around the UK to mark the label’s birthday.Doherty gave a short acoustic performance at the event, which included a surprise appearance from Libertines bandmate Carl Barât.
