Gogglebox fans from around the country were quick to offer their messages of relief and support to sisters Ellie and Izzi tonight as they made they return to our screens after a short hiatus. The pair had been absent since March, after Ellie’s boyfriend Nat Eddleston was struck down by a car while out on the town with friends in Leeds. After the collision, Nat was rushed into intensive care with collapsed lungs and a broken neck as a result of the accident and, as of earlier this month, he still remained on life support.

Some Gogglebox fans have called for Mary Killen to be dropped from the show after comments she made about Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday night’s show. BAFTA viewers spotted an awkward moment at the awards ceremony on Sunday night when several A-List actors didn’t clap for Gogglebox.
