Scarlette Douglas, 35, admitted she “got a bit tearful” about her latest career stint following her exit from A Place In The Sun.The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! opened up about her exciting new role on Channel 4 in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.Scarlette became the third famous face to leave ITV’s I’m A Celebrity this year, after previously exiting her longtime gig on A Place In The Sun back in August.However, she has now started a new chapter with Channel 4, joining her brother Stuart to present property show Worst House on the Street, which made its debut this year.The show follows Scarlette and Stuart's work as property developers as they help families transform run-down houses into dream homes without breaking the bank.Asked if she ever got emotional filming the series and watching families see their homes transformed, Scarlette confirmed she did.The former jungle campmate said: “It really is. And I think - the episode you'll see next week on the Wirral - it can get quite emotional towards the end.“Because the lady in it - it was the first time that she bought a house for herself and her kids,” she continued.“And it was just a really good end result.She was over the moon and we all got so emotional with her.So I think that's probably the one where I really got a bit tearful.”Scarlette went on to reveal there were also tears when she left A Place in the Sun after building such a strong fanbase within the show. “I’ve been quite emotional about it, actually.

A Place in the Sun star Scarlette Douglas, 35, became the third famous face to leave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night.The star has shared her heartbreak after she learned about co-star Jonnie Irwin’s tragic terminal cancer diagnosis upon leaving the ITV show. Scarlette was shocked by the news, as she only found out about the heartbreaking prognosis after leaving the jungle. Last week, Jonnie bravely revealed he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and had been told he only had six months to live. Scarlette, who has worked with Jonnie on Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun before, sent out a heartfelt tribute to Jonnie and his family after hearing the sad news.She said: "I had heard but I didn't realise it was terminal, which makes it sound imminent. "On A Place In The Sun we're always in different locations and we never really get to see each other. "Sometimes our paths might cross but I think I probably only met Jonnie in person maybe three times, a handful of times, but it was always just brilliant. "And I remember when I was doing my screen test for it, I'd watch a lot of his shows because he was confident with the house hunters. “He was just on it,” Scarlette remembered. “He knew everything, you know, you never question Jonnie.

The Great British Bake Off welcomed their first vegan baker Freya Cox to the show last year and her ways were praised by judges Paul Hollywood, 56, and Prue Leith, 82, throughout the series.The 20-year-old has said she is proud to have been an advocate for veganism on the show and even managed to change Paul's mind about baking her way. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Freya reflected on her experience in the tent last series, which was won by Giuseppe Dell'Anno.The baker admitted it was "harder" for her baking the vegan way "because the challenges are already so difficult".This however didn't stop Freya from sticking to her guns.She added: "I was so dedicated and commited to it [being vegan] because I'm the type of person that really likes to stand by my morals," she spilled."I'm never going to change that."A Place in The Sun's Jonnie Irwin, 48, diagnosed with terminal cancerFreya's time on the show came to an end during German Week when she failed to impress judges with her Upside-Down Yeast-Leavened Cake.After leaving the show, she said Paul approached her to praise her for her efforts.She revealed: "When I left, especially Paul, he was so lovely and he was like, 'Oh you've changed my opinion a lot on vegan baking' which I thought was really nice because he didn't need to say that."Despite his words, Freya doesn't believe she could convert him to veganism anytime soon. "I'm never the sort of person who is really forcing it on anybody," she explained, adding she's happy if people are just more "open-minded" about it.The show introduced a vegan week on the show for the first time back in 2018.Despite not following the plant-based lifestyle, Paul defended the show for introducing the episode. At the time, he said:
