The Late Late show host James Corden, 44, explained how he “doesn’t take failure personally” during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz yesterday. The Gavin and Stacey star previously faced backlash after Balthazar restaurant owner Keith McNally, 71, accused him of mistreating his staff. The restaurant boss previously hit out at the comedian, branding him “the most abusive customer to my servers” to ever set foot in his New York eatery.Meanwhile, James went on to claim in an interview that he “hasn’t done anything wrong, on any level”. On the podcast yesterday, James spoke about how he handles difficult situations in his career. The star is set to leave The Late Late show after eight years of hosting the CBS programme.Reflecting on his time presenting a late night talk show, he told Josh: “Doing a show like this, it's always an up-at-dawn, pride-swallowing siege - to steal a line from Jerry McGuire. “You're always just trying and hoping that people will get the thing that you’ve pitched them, that they'll have the time or the inclination to do it. “And then you can't take it personally if they don't, because you’ve just got to go, ‘Well, there’s another show tomorrow.’“That’s it, really, there’s another show tomorrow, so you can’t really dwell on anything.”James also recently faced controversy after fans accused him of “stealing” a joke from comedian Ricky Gervais and telling it on his show.Last month, James addressed the accusations on Twitter, writing: “Inadvertently told a brilliant Ricky Gervais joke on the show last night, obviously not knowing it came from him. “It’s brilliant, because it’s a Ricky Gervais joke,” he continued.

James Corden puts $9.7million US mansion on sale in move back to UK after restaurant ban
Express.co.uk has contacted James Corden's representatives for comment.Earlier this week, James Corden found himself at the centre of scrutiny after restaurant boss Keith McNally claimed the host was "extremely nasty" to his staff at Balthazar on two occasions.James has since spoken out about the alleged incident and said he had done "nothing wrong".On Tuesday, the Balthazar boss called out the host on Instagram, branding him a "cretin of a man”.Keith said James “is a hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man and the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”He went on to share two reports documenting his alleged behaviour on two different occasions by managers. The first manager claimed a staff member was "very apologetic" after James complained about a hair in his food.According to the report, James was then "extremely nasty" to the server and demanded another round of drinks so he'd avoid writing a bad review. The second report alleges that the chat show host "yelled like crazy" at staff after they messed up his wife's omelette dish.In a follow-up post, Keith told his followers that James had since "apologised profusely" for his behaviour and revoked the ban.But in a face-to-face chat with a New York Times reporter later in the week, James denied any wrongdoing.Asked if he was OK by a reporter who said they were glad James didn't cancel the interview following the recent backlash, James said he was “zen” about the situation. The actor responded: "I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this? I was there."I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing.
