I’ve experienced microaggressions all my life, it’s these sort of things that have finally worn me down. They range from playground taunts, like ‘Ching Chang Chong, your eyes are funny’, to being yelled at on the street (‘konichiwa baby’) and a litany of sexual profanities as a teen.Since the pandemic, it’s gone from men wanting to chat you up on the bus and ask where you’re from, to them moving away when you get on the bus or tube.Right now, I’m juggling several projects, including  Dot Dot,  my new bubble-tea café.
