Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has spoken about the so-called Strictly 'curse' ahead of the hotly anticipated new series.

The professional dancer, 28, reached the final of the dancing competition last year with TV presenter Karim Zeroual.She has recently insisted that the dancers do not go on Strictly to find love with no dancer using it as a dating opportunity, despite a number of romances blossoming from it.Amy told The Sun: "I don't know one dancer who has joined the show to bag a boyfriend.

We're not here to find romance. If someone is after that, they'd be on Love Island."We do Strictly because we love to dance.
