Strictly Come Dancing’sAdam Peaty and his dancing partner Katya Jones have insisted that they were “just acting” when they almost kissed on air.The 26-year-old Olympian told fans they had got “carried away” with the idea of a romance after viewers became convinced that the pair had kissed at the end of their steamy tango to Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac.Speaking on Radio 2 today with Zoe Ball, Katya explained that the dancing duo were simply trying to maintain “intensity” following critiques from the judges.She said: “The judges kept saying we’re not connecting the emotion to the dance” and that the choreographers urged the pair to “keep the intensity throughout the entire dance and at the end”.“So we made them proud,” the dancer.
