Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Steven Gerrard as if he’d just experienced a recurring nightmare. No creativity, no cutting edge and not even a real sense of urgency to dig their way out the giant hole they made for themselves on West Lothian’s dreaded carpet. And, as a result of allowing two points to slip through their grasp, no advantage either in the race for this year’s title now that Celtic’s slip up at Kilmarnock has been carelessly scrubbed out. Most of all though, Gerrard will be left wondering if it’s happening all over again.
Let’s face it, it’s not the first time Rangers have lost their sense of direction and purpose - and maybe even their nerve - just when they’ve found themselves looking down on the rest.If these players really are afraid of heights then.
