Steve Bruce has told the Premier League it is 'pointless' to complete the season by playing games behind-closed-doors. That is one of the options clubs will consider in a top level meeting on Thursday.
Bruce has sent his players home to keep fit, and admits it already feels like the 'end of the season'. Top flight teams could be asked to play out their last nine or ten games in empty stadiums because of the ban on mass gatherings, if squads stay virus free.
But that would allow games to be broadcast live preventing TV contract with Sky and BT Sport being breached, and huge compensation payments being due.
