SPFL clubs have been given hope that player contracts could be extended beyond June 30 - but FIFPro admits there could be legal challenges.

Football across Europe has ground to a halt in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, leading to questions over how or if the season will finish.

UEFA had initially hoped to get domestic leagues done by June 30, the date when most contracts expire, but that now looks impossible.

If the season has to go beyond that Scottish clubs face a nightmare scenario of restarting without key members of their squad.
