Simon Rimmer, 57, took to Twitter to tell fans he was “humbled” after a generous customer told his staff to keep her change during troubled times for business owners.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, businesses across the country have been struggling financially due to new rules affecting their regular custom.In an emotional post, the chef expressed his concerns about businesses surviving through the tough time.

Taking to Twitter in view of his 270,000 followers, he thanked customers for their continuous support as he discussed his fears for the future.He wrote: “Last 2 days have been the darkest I’ve felt since this began.
