Simon Cowell has said that his £15 million London mansion "nearly floated away" after flash floods engulfed the capital. The 61-year-old X Factor music mogul was seen close to his home in West London, after a month's rain fell from the skies in just an hour on Monday night.
The Britain's Got Talent supremo half-joked when asked whether he had avoided being hit by the floods. He said: "Not really, my house nearly floated away." There were a number of celebrities who were affected by the downpour, with Queen guitarist Brian May being among the worst hit.
The 73-year-old legendary musician said that his Kensington pad had been turned into a "horror" house after a sewage leak saw a much of his basement destroyed by the stinking sludge.
