Shop workers, teachers and police are being considered for priority access to vaccination in the second stage of the vaccine rollout, Matt Hancock has said.
Answering questions from MPs the Health Secretary admitted that shop workers were among the professions being considered for faster access to the vaccine by the NHS.
Conservative MP Andrew Percy called for shop workers to be prioritised for the vaccine in the next phase of its rollout. He said: “Can I ask the Secretary of State to bear shop workers in mind who have had to work throughout this pandemic, including at the beginning, without any protection and who deal with hundreds of people every day?
