video has shown the destruction left behind from two major landslides in Ayrshire.'Thousands of tonnes of debris' were left over a 50m stretch of train tracks after the 'significant' landslips between Ardrossan and Largs at the weekend.Specialists have been on the scene since Saturday tackling the carnage after the incident broke out near Fairlie and West Kilbride.The video shows how the railway tracks have been buried under mountains of dirt leaving earthworks and drainage leaving engineers to assess the damage.
The footage shows the signalling cable and the troughing collapsed on the ground amongst the wreckage.Network Rail Scotland said: "We’re dealing with two significant landslips between Ardrossan and Largs."Our teams are assessing.
