dailyrecord.co.ukShocking footage shows a massive blaze ripping through a skyscraper in the United Arab Emirates city of Sharjah tonight. The fire broke out earlier this evening, around 9pm local time, and seven people were left injured.
The 48-floor residential Abbco tower in the Al Nahda area, 17 miles from Dubai, was engulfed in flames in images taken by shocked onlookers.
Horrifying footage from the scene shows flames engulfing the building while terrified people scream trying to dodge debris. The cause of the inferno is not yet known, reports the Mirror, but authorities claim seven people suffered "light" injuries and were taken to hospital.
