Inverness.Emergency services were called to the scene on the southbound carriageway of the A9 near the Raigmore interchange, Inshes, at about 4.15pm on Monday following reports of a one-vehicle collision.The male driver of a white Honda was rushed to Raigmore Hospital after the vehicle left the carriageway, with medics describing his condition as serious.He was the only person involved in the incident.Scottish Fire and Rescue mobilised three pumps and a heavy rescue unit to the smash, with officials confirming that hydraulic cutting gear was used.The A9 southbound has been closed as a result of the crash.Pictures from the scene shows a wrecked sports car with its entire front end crumpled by the force of the collision.A Police Scotland.
