crash on one of Scotland's busiest roads. Police closed a section of the A90 in Angus as an air ambulance was scrambled to the scene of the accident between Stracathro and Brechin at around 11am.
Huge tailbacks built up in the area as reports from onlookers suggested the driver's windscreen may have been hit by an object on the southbound carriageway.Eyewitnesses said on social media they had seen a "huge hole in the windscreen" of the 4X4 and only one vehicle appeared to have been involved.
The air ambulance is understood to have landed in a field close to the scene and taken a woman to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
