Police have issued a warning after cruel scammers offering garden services in Glasgow targeted a victim on social media. A resident was contacted online by the fraudster who claimed to be offering gardening services and maintenance work.The suspect then went to the victim’s home address, obtained money for the work and then made off without ever returning.In a Police Scotland statement, a warning was made to all residents in the Glasgow area regarding paying before work is done.It said: “Police Scotland has seen a recent increase of Bogus incidents in the Glasgow Area.“Whereby victims have been approached on social media regarding gardening work and maintenance work.“Suspect have thereafter attended the home address of the victim, obtained.
