Scots teen rushed to hospital with serious head injury after car ploughs into wall in Wishaw crash

Wishaw which left two others in hospital. Emergency services were called to the scene on Coltness Road, near the junction of Dryburgh Road, at around 9.05pm on Saturday when the alarm was raised.

A Vauxhall Astra was travelling southbound towards the town when the 19-year-old male driver appeared to lose control of the vehicle.

It then smashed into a stone wall, leaving all three teenagers injured. The 19-year-old female passenger suffered a head injury and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where she remains in a ‘serious’ condition.

The driver and a 16-year-old female passenger were taken to University Hospital Wishaw, where he remains in a stable condition.The young female passenger has since been released as.
