battered his girlfriend following a drinking session - after a sheriff ruled she held her own in a fight with him. Michael Iversen hit Courtnie Burnside after he downed vodka and she drank Dragon Soop.
Iversen, 26, denied attacking Burnside, 24, after she accused him of cheating. And yesterday Iversen was acquitted of assaulting her at her home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, after the court was told they were both injured in a fight.

The trial at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court was told Burnside was left with lumps and bruises and suffered a burst nose after they fought in her living room.
