Cops in Scotland can be tested for Covid-19 if they fear an attack has put them at risk of the killer virus – even if they are no showing symptoms.
Officers with Police Scotland will face “no barrier to accessing testing” according to community safety minister Ash Denham.
Though officers will first have to contact Police Scotland 's HR department for them to determine if checking them is "appropriate".
The issue was raised in Holyrood by Tory MSP Alexander Stewart who said: “Unfortunately some officers report being spat at and coughed at in a disgusting attempt to spread coronavirus”.
