children are the hardest working in the UK with one in three parents giving household chores to kids as young as five. According to new figures Scotland has the highest number of children doing jobs around the house than anywhere else in the UK, with the national average being one in five.
The research, by vouchercodes.co.uk, says parents are putting children, as young as five to work around the house in order to teach them the value of money.
Scottish parents also expect to be around 52-years-old before they stop supporting their children financially.According to the study half of Scottish parents want their children to grow up in a household that openly talks about the importance of financial responsibility while 32 percent of Scots.
