A Scot accused of planning to ‘live stream’ a terrorist act claimed online he’d written to Norwegian mass killer Anders Breivik in jail.
Sam Imrie is accused of preparing to commit acts of terrorism and suggesting online that he planned to attack the Fife Islamic Centre in Glenrothes.
The 24-year-old’s trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on Monday was shown a series of online posts made by Imrie before his arrest.
Imrie called convicted terrorist Breivik - who killed 77 people in 2011 in a bomb attack and mass shooting in Norway - “the saviour of Europe”.He also referred to Brenton Tarrant - the terrorist who carried out the 2019 Christchurch mosques mass shootings in New Zealand - as “Saint Tarrant”.The jury heard how the Metropolitan
