Both craved a life in the sun - and fell in love with Phoenix after visiting a friend.“A friend of mine from Phoenix helped us fall in love with the place,” she said.“We were taken by the desert skies and yet it’s also a city, it’s amazing.
I was like, this sounds amazing. We visited in 2018, we were in the swimming pool looking up at the incredible blue sky and we thought - this is it.”David, who works in tech, applied for a position in Phoenix there and then, leaving fate in the hands of the job.
