All 20 council wards have different boundaries and 11 have new names. There will still be three councillors representing residents in each ward – but because the boundaries are changing, all 60 council seats will now be up for grabs.
On the edge of Manchester city centre, a new ward called Blackfriars and Trinity will be created, replacing parts of Irwell Riverside and Ordsall.
