Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Highland Park, Los Angeles, Eilish began singing at a young age. She gained media attention in 2016, when she uploaded the song "Ocean Eyes" on SoundCloud, subsequently released by Darkroom and Interscope Records. "Ocean Eyes" was written and produced by her brother Finneas, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows. Eilish's debut EP, Don't Smile at Me (2017), reached the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Nearly six albums into her career, Carpenter makes Hot 100 history with her new single “Please Please Please” debuting at No.

2, and her summery single “Espresso” lifting to a new height at No. 3. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter becomes the first solo act in the history of the 66-year-old Billboard chart to land two simultaneous top-three hits.

Carpenter joins the Beatles in notching two concurrent top-three hits since the group was the first act to achieve the landmark in February of 1964 with “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You,” as noted by Billboard. “Please Please Please” opens with 50.3 million streams and 533,000 airplay impressions as “Espresso” collects almost 48 million in radio impressions and 38.4 million streams with 28,000 digital and physical sales, according to data from Luminate.
