Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A derelict and “run down” piece of land in Bonhill will be transformed into a community garden for the benefit of residents.West Dunbartonshire Council has approved plans by Bonhill Community Garden to create the space at Braehead.The land will be completely transformed into a wheelchair accessible area open to everyone in the community.It will have two wooden arbours, which will offer seating areas, as well as a polytunnel, 12 raised planters, a water storage container and a wheelchair accessible composting toilet.Volunteer group Bonhill Community Garden Association, formed in 2017, will manage the space, which will be open to the public and community.
