Congratulations are in order for RTÉ presenter Kevin McGahern and his wife Siobhan, who welcomed their first child into the world.

This was probably the best possible Christmas present for the couple, as their little bundle of joy arrived just before Christmas day.

Kevin and Siobhan, who have been married since 2018, choose the perfect name for their firstborn, calling her Wallis. Speaking to RSVP, Kevin admitted that they were delighted that the birth went so smoothly, meaning that they were able to get out of hospital just in time for Christmas Eve.

He said: ‘We were lucky enough, there were no complications at all. It was a textbook birth, everything went well and she is very healthy.’ The presenter revealed that both mother and baby
