Following the sad announcement of Prince Philip’s death, Buckingham Palace has a set of protocols they will follow. According to royal insiders, Queen Elizabeth II, Philip’s wife of 74 years, their children and grandchildren will follow certain formalities after losing their loved one.
First, the family would have been made aware of his death by The Lord Chamberlain, who would have consulted with the Queen over the death’s announcement.
