Meghan Markle is said to have stayed in California while her husband Prince Harry flew to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral because she “doesn’t want to be the centre of attention”.The 39 year old Duchess of Sussex is said to have explained to friends her reasons for not returning to London with Prince Harry, 36, as he joins his family to mourn the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died aged 99 last week.

Meghan, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is said to have had a “special bond” with the late Queen’s husband and “adored him”.
