Royal Bolton Hospital on why non-frontline staff are being vaccinated after concerns

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust's medical director, Dr Francis Andrews, explained why it has been done in this way.He said: "We started to vaccinate our staff in December starting with our most vulnerable groups who have underlying health problems or have direct contact with our patients as a priority. "We have since opened up the vaccination appointments to all staff at our hospital to reduce the risk of them becoming unwell as a result of COVID-19. "Our back office staff provide a vital function at the Trust, in ensuring the smooth running of our clinical services.
