A residential road in Merseyside has been cordoned off after reports that shots were fired at a house. Alvina Lane in Kirkby is currently cordoned off by Merseyside Police with a number of police cars at the scene responding to a "serious" incident.
Eyewitnesses have told the Liverpool ECHO that there has been a shooting. Police have confirmed that no one was injured. In a statement, Merseyside Police said that it appears a group of men on bikes turned up at a house and shots were fired towards a doorway.
However, the force said that the investigation is still in the 'very early stages' and enquiries continue. We were contacted at 7.50pm following reports damage had been caused to a door of a property in Alvina Lane. "There are no reports of anyone being injured.
