Ayr to Dalmellington road are now underway. Drivers are advised to plan ahead as overnight road closures will be required at certain times during the project.Throughout the programme, works will icnlude removing sections of the existing road surface, deep patching, laying a base course, adjusting ironware, laying a new surface course and renewing the associated road markings and studs.Phase two of the works started yesterday on the A713 immediately north of Polnessan.It's expected the project will last two weeks.All preparatory work will be undertaken during weekdays between 8am until 5pm and convoy traffic management will be in place with motorists warned to expect delays.To lay the new surface course, it is anticipated that four overnight.
