Manchester United’s rival fans have a transfer theory that they can no longer afford a bid for Jadon Sancho after their latest financial announcement.
The Red Devils have been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s forward since the January transfer window, impressing since he arrive from Manchester City in 2017.
With 31 goals in 90 appearances, it means the Englishman is likely to command a £100m-plus fee from United. But the club’s financial performance for the first three months of 2020 would make this move more challenging.
United’s revenue dropped by 19 per-cent year-on-year to £123.7m while their debt has soared by 42 per cent to more than £400m.
