gigacalculater.com, asked more than 5,000 new parents questions about their name choices. They concluded that 73 per cent of UK parents changed their mind after making a final name decision.
Forty-eight per cent of mums and dads decide that they no longer like the chosen name because it was their partner's pick. Another 68 per cent of parents said that they changed their minds when they saw their children, as the selected name didn't suit them.
Some other reasons for a change of heart are negative memories of people at school and parents or famous people selecting the same name.
The names that people most regret are somewhat surprising. Topping the girl's list is Aurora, with 35% of parents having name regret or changing their minds.
