Rebekah Vardy messaged Coleen Rooney to express her sympathy and outrage that stories about her were being leaked to the press, a court heard on Thursday.
Coleen, 36, accused Rebekah's Instagram account of being linked to leaks about her private life in October 2019. Rebekah, 40, vehemently denies the allegation and is now suing for libel, with the case being heard at London's High Court.
On day three of the Wagatha Christie trial, Rebekah continued giving evidence and the court heard after Rooney revealed her anguish at one leak, her fellow WAG messaged with: "That's so bad.
I would be chomping if it was me. Not on at all. "You don't think the paper has hacked your account do you?'' Coleen's barrister David Sherborne asked: "That is totally disingenuous, isn't it?'' Rebekah replied: "No.'' The mum-of-four also urged Coleen to go through her following on her private Instagram account to see if any followers had links to journalists, the court heard.
