Wagatha Christie closing arguments in full as Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney face verdict

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy's lawyers have shared their closing statements at Royal Courts of Justice on Thursday 19 May.

Rebekah's Instagram account was accused by Coleen of leaking fake stories about her in October 2019 in a now-infamous Instagram post dubbed Wagatha Christie.

Rebekah, 40, denies the allegations and is suing 36 year old Coleen for libel. Coleen's barrister David Sherborne started the final hearing of the seven-day long trial by apologising for her and her 36 year old husband Wayne's absence as the pair have jetted off on holiday with their four children.

He said: "They intended no disrespect to the court." Mr Sherborne then claimed that Rebekah "regularly and frequently" leaked information from his client's private Instagram account and explained that Jamie's wife's evidence is "entirely unreliable".
