A sickening clash of heads left Jimenez unconscious and he was stretchered off immediately while Luiz continued. The forward was given oxygen and he was taken to hospital where he later regained consciousness.
The incident occurred early on in the match and resulted in a lengthy delay of over 10 minutes. But after undergoing successful surgery and seeing his family, Jimenez has spoken out to allay fears fans had.
