Raphael Varane is not expected to be available for Manchester United’s trip to Leicester City after picking up an injury while on international duty with France.
The 28-year-old defender was substituted in the first half of Sunday’s UEFA Nations League final victory over Spain, and was spotted with an ice pack around his injured thigh as he watched his teammates from the sidelines in the second half.
It’s believed Varane sustained the injury while was running back in an effort to block a cross. He tried in vain to carry on before sitting down on the pitch and motioning to the bench that he could no longer continue.
