Gary Neville says the biggest mistake Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made against Leicester City was picking Harry Maguire. In the midst of a defensive injury crisis at Old Trafford, the £80million captain was expected to miss out against his former club at the King Power Stadium.
However, after watching summer signing Raphael Varane limp off during the Nations League final against Spain, his under-pressure United manager decided to thrust Maguire back into the mix.
It was a below-par display from the England international and his United teammates as a collective. According to Neville, though, the 28-year-old should not have been put in that position.
