Rangers claim the SPFL are ignoring their own rules and the governing body CAN release funds to struggling clubs through loans.
They insist this is further evidence that an independent investigation needs to happen because clubs had been urged to push through the SPFL's season-ending plans to get the money they need.The Ibrox club had initially put forward their own resolution that was rejected by the SPFL board because it wasn't viewed as being competent.
But now Rangers are adamant they have since learned during discussions with SPFL legal adviser Rod McKenzie that the board already have the power to pay money out to clubs.
