SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster has slammed Rangers for their "very divisive" battle with the governing body, as he explained why loans could not be paid out to clubs.
A resolution to end the lower leagues early, and hand the SPFL the power to do the same in the Premiership, proved controversial.
While Hampden chiefs insisted that the season had to end for payments to be made to clubs, Rangers insisted money should instead be loaned and repaid when the term has finished.
