Rangers legend Andy Goram has passed away at the age of 58 following a short battle with cancer.The Scottish Premiership club confirmed the tragic news in a statement just after midday on Saturday.
Goram made 260 appearances for the Gers between 1991 and 1998, helping them to five league titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups.
In 1999, he was voted the Greatest Rangers Goalkeeper of all-time in a poll. Goram also enjoyed lengthy stints at Oldham Athletic and Hibernian prior to joining Rangers, while he also played for Motherwell, Manchester United and Coventry City after leaving Ibrox. He travelled to Mexico in the summer of 1986 as a member of Scotland's World Cup squad, but was third-choice behind Jim Leighton and Alan Rough and did not feature at the tournament.
