Pep Guardiola admits he doesn't know how to solve Manchester City's drop in form, but believes his players will benefit from a metaphorical punch in the face after last season's treble heroics.
City are winless in four, their worst Premier League run since Guardiola's first season, but will look to tomorrow's trip to Luton as the start of a much more favourable set of fixtures over the coming months.
Still, Guardiola's side were unrecognisable from the one that won the treble in June when they lost at Aston Villa, with the boss accepting it is up to him to turn their fortunes around.
After admitting on Friday that he felt City needed a 'shake' last month, prior to their drop in results, Guardiola went on to suggest the stark reality of defending their treble will serve as a 'punch in the face' to his players and his bosses higher up.
