Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy thought Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho looked 'more comfortable' and 'more productive' on the right-wing during Boxing Day's 3-2 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
The Argentine played a starring role in helping United recover from 2-0 down, netting a second half brace, ahead of Rasmus Hojlund plundering his first Premier League goal to scoop all three points with just under 10 minutes of normal time remaining.
Both goals from Garnacho were as a result of him moving inside from the right flank. Previously, Garnacho, for the most part, has been restricted to playing on the left, with Marcus Rashford farmed out to the opposite side of the pitch when they have both been playing at the same time.
Rashford is far more effective and influential on the left, meaning Erik ten Hag's decision to often alter his position to accommodate Garnacho in the XI has been questioned.
