Pep Guardiola will be forced into making one change to his starting lineup when treble-winners Manchester City get down to business against Sheffield United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
England defender John Stones picked up an ankle injury during the midweek win over his former side Everton and will not be available for at least the upcoming Premier League match.
Stones was withdrawn after 43 minutes and replaced by summer signing Josko Gvardiol at Goodison Park as City ended up 3-1 winners.
Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), Jeremy Doku (muscular) and Erling Haaland (foot) were also absent for that one and will not return to their matchday squad on Saturday afternoon, either.
