Manchester City will be without a number of players once again for this weekend’s clash with Sheffield United. John Stones is one player who will not feature after coming off during the first half of Wednesday’s win over Everton at Goodison Park.
The defender has this time injured his ankle having missed a large portion of the start of the season with a hip issue. Pep Guardiola has also given an update on the other injured players, including Erling Haaland.
He has also sent a message to City’s Premier League rivals with the Blues five points off leaders Liverpool having played a game fewer. Stones was forced off in the first half of the victory at Goodison Park and is now on the treatment table, with Guardiola revealing nothing had changed with the injury situation in his squad.
