Manchester City captains called clear-the-air-talks with the players last month in an attempt to stop them tumbling out of the Premier League title race.
Pep Guardiola's side raced out of the starting blocks this season, winning their first six league games to set the early pace for what would be an unprecedented fourth title in a row.
However, their form deserted them amid injuries and suspensions to key players and they went four games without winning as draws with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham were followed by an abject defeat at Aston Villa.
That loss left them fourth in the table and Guardiola suggested he was at a loss to 'change the dynamic' of the team and get them back to winning ways.
